Thermal conductivity of Mott insulators

ABSTRACT

The electronic contribution to the thermal conductivity of Mott insulators is derived from the heat-transport equation as a simple extension of a previous specific-heat calculation. Even for the case of a half-filled band, the electronic thermal conductivity dominates the lattice contribution over a range of temperatures.
